Unfortunately, a few seemingly innocuous rituals performed before making love can have negative consequences, ruining otherwise healthy pleasure. So, if you must make physical contact, avoid the following.
1. Avoid foods that are high in spice or fat.
If you intend to engage in sexual activity, limit your intake of hot sauce. Spicy foods can aggravate acid reflux symptoms such as heartburn and a burning sensation in the throat, making weight loss difficult. Curry and peppers are two examples of these foods. Furthermore, if your body is sensitive to spicy foods, you may be unable to hold in gas or burps.
Rich, fatty foods like fried chicken, citrus fruits, carbonated drinks, and coffee can also cause heartburn because they are difficult for your body to digest.
So, be gentle with your stomach. Whole grains (such as oatmeal and brown rice), root vegetables (such as sweet potatoes and carrots), green vegetables are likely to cause heartburn (like asparagus, green beans, and broccoli).
2. Reduce your alcohol intake.
Men should limit their alcohol consumption before sex, even if a couple of beers may help them get in the mood. Excessive alcohol consumption can cause erectile dysfunction (ED), a disorder that makes it difficult to obtain or maintain a strong erection to perform necessary tasks.
While a few incidents involving alcohol may not always indicate that you have ED, heavy drinking daily may have long-term consequences. Always remember that men are only allowed two drinks per day.
3. Never shave before going on a romantic date.
Is shaving your preferred method of grooming? It’s not a problem, but you should plan ahead of time. After shaving, your genital skin becomes more fragile, sensitive, and prone to irritation from sex friction.
Shave the day before you want to have a sexual encounter to reduce your risk. To reduce your chances of discomfort, always use shaving cream or gel, shave in the direction of hair growth, and finish with a fragrance-free moisturizer.
4. Stop taking antihistamines.
Do you have problems with traffic? If you know you’ll be busy later, you might want to skip the cough and cold medicine. Antihistamines can help dry up runny noses, but they aren’t the only thing that can. Because these medications cause mucous membranes throughout the body to dry out, women may notice that their vaginas are less lubricated.
If you must take antihistamines, make sure you have access to a water-based lubricant. Lubing up will ensure that you’re wet enough to have a good time down there.
5. Don’t forget about the foreplay.
If you have the time, foreplay can help you and your partner relax. Kissing, cuddling, and oral stimulation are examples of foreplay, and the benefits are numerous.
The first step in getting your genitals ready for sex is foreplay. Women may become wet as a result of increased blood flow to the clitoris, whereas men may experience an erection as a result of increased blood flow to the penis. Furthermore, it increases your pulse rate, making you feel closer to your spouse as you get to know each other better.
